Q: Can I rent out my unit?

A: Yes, you can rent your unit out through the management company. If you choose to place your property in the rental pool, it is often possible to cover some or all of your expenses.

Q: Can I swap vacation weeks with another owner?

A: Absolutely, swapping or combining weeks can be done at the discretion of the owner. We have developed an Owner's Corner on our website for Bighorn Owner's to communicate to one another.

Q: What about selling my unit?

A: Buying a fraction at Bighorn Meadows Resort is just like buying any other type of real estate. You can sell it at any time. We are happy to assist you in marketing your property.

Q: When do weeks start?

A: Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays depending on your rotation schedule. Your rotation schedule is determined when you are buying your unit.

Q: Who does the cleaning?

A: The management company cleans all units, making sure that the property is up to standard for every guest. Everyone who stays at Bighorn Meadows is required to use this service. Owners are only charged for cleaning when they stay at the property.

Q: What about damages?

A: The owner is responsible for all damages beyond normal wear and tear. There is an ownership agreement that will outline the policies and guidelines for replacing/ fixing damages.

Q: Is there financing available?

A: Yes, we now have financing available! Please ask your sales person about our financing.

Q: What about monthly expenses?

A: All costs are split equally by the owners of each unit, with monthly costs varying for each property. The following are part of the monthly payments: snow removal, gas, water, electric, sewer, cable, property tax, phone, common area maintenance, insurance, etc.

Q: Who takes care of collecting and paying for the expenses?

A: Bighorn Meadows staff takes care of invoicing and collecting payment for the maintenance fees.

Q: Can you tell me about the exchange program?

A: Bighorn Meadows has a Premier rating with Interval International. Interval International is made up of nearly 1,900 resorts and over 1.2 million member families worldwide. They have been at the forefront of the industry in maintaining the highest standards of quality and excellence since 1976.
Interval provides its members - vacation owners from around the world - with a variety of exchange services and other exciting benefits to enhance their vacation experiences.
Membership is limited to owners at the resorts in our network, all of which have met Interval International's rigorous criteria for quality. None of these resorts in the program are owned or managed by Interval International.

Q: Is vacation ownership popular?

A: Yes. Vacation ownership has been becoming increasingly popular in the last 10 years. After experiencing vacation ownership, approximately 33 percent of the owners have purchased additional intervals. 41 percent of owners who have been in possession of a vacation interval for 8 years or longer have also purchased additional time.

Q: How does Bighorn Meadows Resort differ from a timeshare?

A: Bighorn Meadows Resort sells fractional ownership with deeded title and full rights of property ownership. You are buying real estate rather than just vacation time.

Differences between fractional and timeshare projects:
  • The scale of the fractional projects seems to be much smaller. The market is less significant for fractional projects due to the small population that can afford it.
  • Fractional projects have a larger focus on the quality put into the construction because of the high expectations of potential buyers. Timeshare projects tend to focus less on quality, incorporating more sales and marketing costs into the price.
Q: Do I have any warranty?

A: Yes, the units are covered under the New Home Warranty Program

A: Only high quality upper end furnishings are being used in the Bighorn Meadows Units. All units come with leather furniture, tile floors, granite counters, decks, BBQ's, fully complemented kitchens, TV's, DVD's and many more.
